My Dream Job

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamt of being one of the famous doctors helping different patients around the world.

There are many things that make me want to become a doctor when I grow up.  I have heard that some doctors sacrificed their lives and took risk to save patients’ lives and that spirit inspired me a lot.  Another reason is that I can help many people with sickness or diseases which is a way to contribute to the society.  I think being a doctor is a very meaningful job.

Doctors’ responsibility is not just about curing patients, they also need to discuss with other medical professors to find out the best ways to cure patients.  Besides, doctors need to prescribe medication to patients.  Moreover, they need to work on shifts.  Furthermore, they need to work on the computer to keep the patients’ records so they need to have good computer skills.

I think I am suitable to become a doctor because of my personality.  I am always optimistic.  Doctors need to tell patients their symptoms and discuss with them the treatments.  I need to be optimistic because some patients may have serious diseases.  It’s my responsibility to comfort them.  I also have good communication skills.  In addition, I am cooperative and I believe that I can cooperate with other medical professors when curing patients.  I am also persistent.  I will never give up when I meet any difficulties when curing patients.  Therefore, I think I possess all the characteristics of being a good doctor.

To make my dream come true, I will study hard and read more medical books.  I also need to get a medical degree at university.  After that, I need to intern at the hospitals to gain experience and learn from colleagues.  I hope one day in the future, I can become one of the bravest doctors helping many patients around the world.  Hopefully, I will be on the news because I have saved a lot of people’s lives.
